Ingredients

  • 2 large Russet Potatoes
  • Vegetable Oil (for frying)
  • Sea Salt (to taste)
  • Optional Seasonings: Paprika, black pepper, or chili powder

Instructions

  1. Slice the potatoes thinly (about 1/8 inch thick) using a mandoline or a sharp knife.
  2. Soak the potato slices in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Drain and pat the slices dry with a clean towel.
  4. Heat about an inch of oil to 350°F (175°C) in a large skillet or deep pot.
  5. Fry a few potato slices at a time until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with sea salt immediately.
  7. Cool completely before enjoying; they will crisp up as they cool.

Notes

Maintain oil temperature for perfect crispiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
