A delightful twist on classic apple pie, this dip features warm, spiced apples and a creamy layer, served with crispy cinnamon sugar chips.

Ingredients

  • 4 apples, peeled and diced (Gala or Fuji preferred)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup whipped topping
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • Flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl until the apples are well-coated.
  3. Combine the softened cream cheese, whipped topping, and powdered sugar in another bowl until smooth and creamy.
  4. Layer the cream cheese mixture at the bottom of a serving dish and spoon the apple mixture on top.
  5. Cut the flour tortillas into triangles and arrange on a baking sheet.
  6. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then sprinkle over the tortilla triangles.
  7. Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve the warm apple pie dip alongside the freshly baked cinnamon sugar chips.

Notes

Make sure to use softened cream cheese for a smooth mixture. For a richer flavor, let the apple mixture sit for a few minutes after mixing.
